Here is a three step formula for calling a woman to ask her out that helps take the complexity and pressure off of making that first call.
No texting, no emailing, be a man and call.
1. Relax
Chances are that she is going to be as nervous as you are when you call. To calm your nerves think of it like you are calling an old friend or a family member, it’s not a big deal. Don’t forget: she gave you her number in the first place, so she is expecting you to call. Realize that Relax and keep in mind you both are just looking to have fun and meet someone new.
2. Sound Excited
You don’t want to call for the first time and sound bored or tired. Only make the first call when you are feeling energetic and are in a good mood.
Dont say: “Hey…it’s bob…remember me? do you uhhh want to go out sometime?”
Say: “Hey what’s up! It’s bob! what are you up to tomorrow afternoon? <blah blah blah not too much> Cool..would you be interested in joining me for a cup of coffee at Barnes & Noble downtown tomorrow? great see you then” Sound happy
IF response = “yes” {
proceed as described above}
IF response = “maybe” (which means no but she does not want to hurt your feelings) OR “no”, “I’m busy’, etc, etc {
don’t let her know in your voice or by what you say in anyway shape or form that you were phased by her rejection. If you act like her rejection doesn’t bother you in the slightest (which it shouldn’t anyway as the saying goes..”plenty of fish in the sea”) it may peak her interest. The confident man can deal with rejection and say “next!” The fact is not every woman is going to be attracted to you no matter how good looking, rich, smooth talking, funny, or smart you are.
Say the following: “Ok, you’re going to miss out on a good time! they have such great coffee, can’t wait to grab some tomorrow…anyway, I gotta take the dogs out, take it easy!” }
3. 3 – 5 minute phone call MAX
Keep it short and sweet. Make the appointment and get off the phone. You will have plenty talk about in person and you don’t want to exhaust everything you have to say before you meet face to face.
